Hot and Cold. (angelajeanetteinjerusalem.blogspot.com for the Jerusalem blog!)

I have a feeling that my experience this summer will be somewhat hot and cold. I love being in Provo (who ever thought I would say that? Ever?), and I love my job. And yesterday was way fun. We had ward kickball for FHE and I met a lot of cool people in the ward.

Today is slow though. Got off work at 4, went and got a parking pass for my apartment, checked the requirements to renew my licence... (I'll do that tomorrow, I believe...), and then I got something to eat, since I didn't really have a lunch break, and I didn't eat breakfast (bad, I know). After that I came back to my apartment.

Nobody is here, and it's a little weird. And I'd prefer if only Ashley came home at this point...I don't know my other roommates that well.

And ironically, as soon as I typed that up, one of my other roommates walked in the door. We just chatted and she seems really nice. I'm glad she came in, cause I was starting to get a little apprehensive about how it would go with two girls I didn't know. I did that last semester and it definitely didn't work out very well, unfortunately.

Work today was good. Lots of advising happened. It was the first day of Spring Term, so there were a lot of students that came in and were rearranging schedules and getting advisement and etc. It was a good day though. Stephen, a guy who works in the office but graduated so he won't be there for much longer, came in today to train me on forms. I get to be the one to change people's majors and do class requests and stuff. So there you go. I feel like Kristen McGregor, my boss, trusts me, which is really nice. Hopefully I keep doing a good job.

To anyone who is still interested in my life, even though I'm no longer blogging about cool Jerusalem Stuff, thank you :). Love you family.

P.S. I will hopefully keep blogging about Galilee sometime!

I learned something about myself today.

Today between my classes, my group was chatting, waiting for the next class to start.

I went to get a drink of water, and came back, and Adam and Matt were talking. Adam was in my chair, so I told him jokingly to get out of it, and they said they were having a deep conversation. I, of course, told them they could continue their conversation with me sitting in the middle, in my seat.

They said they were talking about what they are passionate about. So Adam turned to me and said, "Angie, what are you passionate about?" I thought for a second and something came to mind, Respect. I am passionate about Respect. I told them that, and explained what I meant. I am passionate about showing Respect to people, and about receiving respect. Most of what offends me, or upsets me, (as well as what I feel the most terrible about), is Respect.

I am offended when people don't appear respectful, and I feel deeply troubled and repentant when I realize I have not behaved respectfully.

In turn, I respect people who are respectful and conscientious.

Adam and Matt then told me what they were passionate about. Matt said basketball, and money. He is passionate about basketball because he loves it, and money because he wants to work hard and be financially secure so that he can do whatever he wants to in life. Adam said that he is passionate about leadership. He loves being a leader and working towards a challenging goal, as well as helping a team meet a challenging goal.

I just found this to be an interesting little lesson today, on different people and goals, as well about myself. Interesting that what I learned what not in class...(though I did learn in class today, don't you worry.)

URL change

Hey everyone! I decided to make a change to the URL of my Jerusalem blog.

It is now

Sorry if this is inconvenient, but I wanted to separate any Jerusalem posts from any post-Jerusalem posts...if that makes sense.

I'm still considering if I want to continue keeping a blog. But that is essentially the purpose of the change: to allow me to do that if I wish to.

So, in the future, I will finish up my blog with the posts about Galilee, and then that blog will be closed, and I will write on this blog.

I love you guys!
